Frequently Asked Questions
How do I record another app with FaceCam?
Choose Screen + Camera, tap Record, confirm Start Broadcast in the iOS system sheet, wait for the countdown, then leave Cam Screen Cast and open the app you want to record. The camera window should remain visible while recording is active.
How do I stop a screen recording?
Return to Cam Screen Cast and use Stop Recording, or stop the active system broadcast from iOS. The recording is finalized and then appears in the in-app Library. Keep the app open briefly while a long video finishes saving.
Why is Dual Camera unavailable?
Dual Camera depends on Apple MultiCam support and requires a compatible physical iPhone. It is not available in the Simulator, and availability may also depend on the chosen camera combination, thermal state, and current system resources.
Where are recordings stored?
Recordings are stored locally in the Cam Screen Cast Library. If Save to Photos is enabled, finished videos are also exported to Photos after you grant permission. You can choose a combined video or keep separate editable sources where supported.
What does Pro unlock?
Cam Screen Cast Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the app’s premium recording options, including advanced quality and customization features, and removes advertising and the free-version watermark. Available capabilities still depend on your device.
Before contacting support
- Confirm Camera and Microphone access in iOS Settings.
- Make sure there is enough free device storage for the recording.
- Test Dual Camera on a supported physical iPhone, not the Simulator.
- Do not force-quit the app while a recording is being finalized.
